This service includes:
Our team of dental experts uses the latest techniques to ensure that the procedure is as minimally invasive as possible.
We use local anesthesia to ensure that you have a comfortable and painless experience during the extraction. We also have Nitrous and Penthrox sedation available and will prescribe appropriate pain relief after the procedure.
We provide personalised care instructions to each patient to ensure that they have a comfortable and smooth recovery.
With the use of local anesthesia, tooth extractions should not be painful. After the procedure, there may be some discomfort and swelling, but this can be easily managed with either over-the-counter or prescribed pain medication and cold compresses.
The recovery time can vary depending on the complexity of the extraction and your overall health. However, most people are able to return to their normal routine within a few days. It is important to follow the post-extraction care instructions provided by your dentist to ensure a smooth and quick recovery.
Tooth extraction may be necessary due to various reasons including tooth decay, gum disease, impacted wisdom teeth, or to prepare for orthodontic treatment.
Your dentist will first administer a local anesthetic to numb the area. Once the area is numb, the tooth will be gently rocked back and forth to loosen it from the socket. Once the tooth is loosened, it will be carefully removed. Your dentist will provide post-extraction care instructions to minimise any discomfort and promote healing.
You will be able to drive you home after a tooth extraction, as the local anesthesia will not impair your ability to drive, however, if you have had an oral in inhalation sedation such as Diazepam, Nitrous or Penthrox, you will need to be driven home by someone else as these can temporarily impair your ability to drive.
